It’s no surprise that food is the inspiration for many makeup trends on social media. For the past few days, it’s been pomegranate’s turn to take center stage with “Pomegranate Girl Makeup,” a new trend that’s all the rage on TikTok. Focusing on a natural look and a sun-kissed complexion, this beauty look is perfect for summer.
After “Donut Skin”, “Espresso makeup” or “Latte Makeup”, here comes “pomegranate makeup”.
Pocket of “strawberry makeup”, this new trend abandons the strawberry in favor of the pomegranate, a fruit with shades varying between bright red and pale red. This beauty look is distinguished by the application of blush between pink and mauve, matching the color of the lips, with a few freckles and well-brushed eyebrows.

A few years ago, this trend focused on eyes adorned with iridescent pomegranate-colored eyeshadow, matching the lips. Today, it is evolving to adapt to current concerns by emphasizing blush. This makeup, a subtle mix between “sunkissed makeup” and “strawberry makeup”, highlights an enhanced complexion thanks to the natural look of reddened cheeks and the shiny texture of smooth, moist skin, reminiscent of that of the fruit.
Replicating this trend is simple and can be done in three steps. First, the bright red blush is applied to the cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, the mobile eyelids and above the eyebrows, before being blended. Then, fake freckles are placed on the nose and cheekbones using a felt-tip pen. For the lips, a light outline with a pink pencil is followed by a delicate application of the blush used previously. And finally, a touch of gloss to make them shine!
With the “pomegranate girl makeup”, summer is announced under the sign of freshness and simplicity.
