All election material was locked up there.

The polling station at Lindholmen in Gothenburg could not open at 08.00 this morning.
A reader on the spot complains about the incident.
– They claim they can’t access the stuff. First, there has been a very long queue for the early voting, then the polling station does not open today. It’s a scandal, he says.

The reason was that the election material could not be accessed.
– The material has been locked in a room. They have not been able to get it out in time. This is all the material you need to be able to carry out the election. Screens, urns, ballot papers, envelopes, says Frida Nowotny, head of elections at the City of Gothenburg.
After about an hour, the premises should have been able to open, according to readers on site.
– We take the fact that they were not able to open on time very seriously. I can’t answer what went wrong here, says Frida Nowotny.
– If anyone who intended to vote went home because of this, I hope they go back during the day again, she continues.
