Iran has executed four people convicted of collaborating with the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, the BBC reports, citing the state-run Iranian news agency Mizan.
“Four members of the Zionist sabotage team, who committed extensive acts against the country’s security under the leadership of Mossad men, were executed this morning after undergoing the legal process,” writes Mizan on his website.
Yesterday, human rights organizations reported that the four prisoners had been transferred to solitary confinement in Urmia prison in northwestern Iran to carry out the sentences.
