Poliomyelitis in the DRC: “we must act quickly to vaccinate children who are not yet attacked”

Poliomyelitis in the DRC we must act quickly to vaccinate

The DRC hosted from July 4 to 7, the 31st meeting of the African Regional Commission for the Eradication of Poliomyelitis. Six countries (Chad, Ethiopia, Mali, Madagascar, Mozambique and the DRC) took part. The objective was to assess progress and strengthen the fight against this disease. We must act quickly to save lives, especially those of children. This is the call launched after four days of reflection. Patrice Tshikoya, from the international NGO Village Reach, talks about the case of the DRC where poliomyelitis epidemics are recurrent at the microphone of Kamanda wa Kamanda Muzembe.
