On at least seven occasions during the afternoon and evening, fraudsters have contacted older people in Järfälla and pretended to be from the police.
The person who calls informs that there have been many burglaries in the area and that he wants to help manage the person’s valuables.
Thereafter, the fraudster tries to give the impression that an insurance company is connected to the call.
The police are now urging the public to pay attention to conversations of a similar nature.
None of the elderly should have gotten rid of their valuables.
In all seven cases, the police have launched criminal investigations that have been classified as fraud attempts.
