Police shot at armed man in Hässleholm – negotiation ongoing

During the night of Wednesday, the police shot at a man who first threatened a pizza delivery man in Hässleholm and then shot inside his home and then pointed a weapon at the police, the police write on their website.

The police received an alarm at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday from a pizza delivery man who had been threatened by a man with a weapon. The police located the man in his residence and are then at 10 p.m. on site with the task force, negotiators and patrols.

Both the man and the police have fired shots. The man shot inside his home but did not aim at anyone.

The police opened fire on the man when he came out of his home and pointed his weapon at the police. There is no information that the man was hit or injured. No police officer is said to have been injured either.
