Early Sunday, around 2 am, Chatham-Kent police responded to a disturbance on King Street West in Chatham.
A 44-year-old Chatham man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for medical attention, police said.

Loads laid after foot pursuit
On Saturday evening, police attended a Dresden residence after receiving a 911 hang-up call.
Through investigation, police learned there was a man with numerous outstanding warrants located at the residence. After a short foot pursuit, the man was arrested, police said.
The 24-year-old Dresden man faces charges of domestic-related breach of probation, as well as drug possession. He was held for bail.
Public intoxication load
Early Sunday, police responded to a report of an unwanted person at a Margaret Avenue residence in Wallaceburg.
For her own safety, the woman was taken into custody as she was allegedly intoxicated and unable to care for himself, police said.
The 40-year-old Wallaceburg woman was charged with being intoxicated in a public place and released when sober.
