Police seek public’s help to locate Haldimand teen

Police in Haldimand are turning to the public for information on the whereabouts of a teenage girl.

Haldimand OPP say they are attempting to locate a 14-year-old named Melody to verify her well-being. Police do not provide last names of people reported missing.

Melody was reported missing from a business on Railway Street in Hagersville at about 2 pm on Friday, July 19.

Melody is described as being white, about 5 feet, 3 inches in height with a slim build and long brown hair. She was wearing a black V-neck short-sleeve shirt with Lilo and Stitch image on the front, black shorts with white lining and black Nike low-cut shoes, said police.

Family members are concerned about her safety, said police.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the OPP immediately at 1-888-310-1122 or *677 via a cell phone. Those wishing to remain anonymous are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
