Police seek publics help following robbery in Brights Grove

Sarnia police say they want to hear from witnesses of a robbery alleged to have happened on the evening of May 21 in the area of ​​Bright’s Grove’s Wildwood Park.

Police said in a news release that numerous people were in the area at the time of the robbery, which happened between 10 pm and 11 pm, and may have assisted the victim who was injured.

“They were not serious injuries” and the victim “didn’t seek treatment as a result of them,” said Det. Alex Cunningham.

Police said in the release they are looking for more than one suspect and that other people in the park in the time may have “retrieved some of the stolen items discarded by the suspects as they fled.”

The waterfront park is located near the Bright’s Grove Library and Bright’s Grove public school.
