Brantford police said they seized more than $600,000 in fentanyl and arrested a 34-year-old Brampton man in a drug-trafficking investigation.
Police said the investigation, named Project Viking, started in May, targeting a man from the Greater Toronto Area suspected of supplying fentanyl and methamphetamine to Brantford and the surrounding area.
The investigation culminated Sept. 8 with three search warrants executed at addresses on Darling Street and a vehicle.
Police said they seized about 1,200 grams of suspected fentanyl, about 770 grams of suspected methamphetamine, Canadian currency, a digital scale, brass knuckles, cellphones, two presses, mixing containers, ammonia, sifting cups and a vacuum sealer
The man is charged with two counts possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of anything intending that it be used in the production or trafficking of a substance.
