According to the verdict from the Copenhagen district court, the man has also been guilty of abusing his position, since he sent pictures of two people deprived of their liberty to his family. He is sentenced to eight daily fines of SEK 500 for negligence in the service.
The man was arrested in the canteen at the police station in Copenhagen in January 2022 and has since been suspended from his job. He has always claimed that he had the photos of the upper body and the tiger cage to show them at police dog handler training. He was tried for abuse of office and breach of confidentiality because he showed the pictures, of which he was acquitted.
