The bus driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution, police said. No details of the driver’s injuries and condition were released.

None of the seven students on the bus were hurt, police said.

Officers responding to a 911 call about a disturbance at a home found an injured person and later struggled with a suspect who resisted arrest, St. Thomas police said.

Officers found a person with several injuries when they arrived at the home in the city’s south end on Monday, police said.

Paramedics cared for the injured person and took them to hospital.

Officers drew their Tasers and called for the suspect to come out of the house, police said.

The suspect was ordered to the ground but resisted arrest before being subdued.

The suspect was searched at police headquarters and found to be in possession of seven grams of cocaine, police said.

A 44-year-old St. Thomas resident is charged with resisting a peace officer, assault causing bodily harm and possession of a scheduled substance.
