Provincial police have charged a 56 year-old Norfolk County man with spousal assault and assault following a Nov. 15 incident.

Officers were dispatched to a county address at about 5:22 am and learned two people had become embroiled in a dispute. One person was physically assaulted and police said a second person, also in the residence, at the time was assaulted during the incident.
No injuries were reported and one person was taken into custody.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.

Public intoxication charge

A 38-year-old Toronto man has been charged with being intoxicated in a public place following a Nov. 18 incident in Simcoe.
Norfolk OPP officers responded to a 911 call at about 11:46 pm concerning an intoxicated individual on Fourteenth Street West.
Officers arrested an individual without incident then charged him.
Norfolk OPP is reminding residents that it is illegal to be intoxicated in public places or in any shared areas of residences with multiple dwellings.
Impaired driving charge
Haldimand OPP has charged a 31-year-old London man with drinking and driving offenses after stopping a vehicle during a Nov. 17 RIDE check.
The vehicle was stopped at about 1:15 am and the man was charged after officers assessed his sobriety.

Police have charged the driver with impaired driving and driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.
Damaged vehicles
Haldimand OPP is investigating after two vehicles parked in Caledonia were damaged over the weekend.
Officers received the first report of a damaged vehicle on Larry Crescent at about 10:30 am Nov. 17. Upon further investigation, officers discovered the vehicle was damaged at about 5 am
Officers then discovered a second vehicle, parked at a neighboring address had also been damaged.
