Several police patrols, ambulances and rescue services were on the scene in central Sandviken after an alarm about an injured person was received by the police shortly after 19:00 on Monday evening. According to the police, the man was injured with a sharp object.
– We are on site with a number of resources and have cordoned off the area, says police spokesperson Magnus Jansson Klarin.
The injured man was taken to hospital by ambulance. His injuries are unclear, but he is said to have been awake and able to speak when police arrived at the scene.
The police are investigating the incident as attempted murder and in the subsequent investigative work the police have been able to make several arrests.
