Police were alerted about the incident at 06.54 on Tuesday.
– Someone has driven on the gates to the embassy. It is a man in his 45s. He remained in the car and can be arrested quite easily, says Stockholm Police Press spokesman Daniel Wikdahl.
At 07.30, the police were ready at the scene. They have launched a preliminary investigation into attempted grossly unlawful intrusion.
– So he never brought in. Why he did like this we do not know now, more than he is suspected of trying to get in.
