On Thursday, the Security Police raised the terror threat level to a four instead of the previous three. And this weekend Luleå’s pride parade awaits, an event that usually draws a lot of people and which is inaugurated tonight in the city park. An event that attracts a large crowd. But Luleå’s municipal police Magnus Carlborg wants to urge visitors to remain calm.
– We have made the assessment that we do not see that there will be any major threat to this particular event, he says.
“No panic”
The message spread by the Security Police “Live as usual but with care” explains Magnus Carlborg as important around Pride in Luleå.
– The most important thing is not to suffer from panic, that is exactly what terrorist threats want to induce, therefore it is important that we live our lives as usual but that you are also vigilant, he says.
Additional personnel
They do not want to comment on whether the police will increase security ahead of this weekend’s event. But should it be necessary, they are prepared for it.
– We consider all parts and if we see a need to use certain methods, we will do so, says Carlborg.
In the clip, you will hear more about the security situation ahead of this weekend’s pride parade.
