Alarmed about a threatening situation – they opened fire
At 01:00 on the night of Saturday, Norwegian police received an alert about a threatening situation in the municipality of Klepp in Rogeland county. Several patrols went out on the alarm and managed to stop a car. Then a man in the car opened fire.
The perpetrator and two policemen were hit by shots, and all were taken to the university hospital in Stavanger. In the morning, the police announced that a police officer in his 20s died of his injuries on Saturday morning.
