An off-duty policeman was stabbed in central Jönköping during the night to Sunday, reports P4 Jönköping. The man’s injuries are considered serious but not life-threatening. The police were called to the scene shortly after 03:00.

“The policeman has noticed a fight that he will try to control and in connection with that he has been attacked,” says the police officer on duty Mikael Ehne to the radio channel.

Three people – a man in their 55s and two women in their 40s – have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident.
