A preliminary investigation into murder has therefore been initiated and a man in his 50s has been arrested, the police write on their website.
“The police have taken a number of investigative measures in connection with the crime scene and will continue to work during the day with, among other things, a technical investigation at the scene, analyzes of traces and interviews with witnesses,” the police write.
The incident began as a sea rescue in Klubbviken at 02:00 on the night of Sunday. The Coast Guard was the first to arrive and found the woman in the water. Resuscitation attempts were made and the woman was taken by ambulance to hospital, but her life could not be saved.
The man could be arrested shortly after the suspicions of crime arose. The officer on duty at the police command center does not want to comment further on the investigation on Sunday morning.
