Belgian police look in Brussels subway for suspected perpetrators from a shooting early this morning.
-The suspects fled in the direction of a subway station and are still still in the tunnel between the Clemenceau and Bruxelles-Midi stations, explains Sarah Frederickx, spokesperson for the police in Södra Brussels for the newspaper Le Soir.
The police hunt has caused major disruptions in metro traffic. No people are said to have been injured in the shooting. In recent years, the area concerned has been affected by several violent crimes linked to drug trafficking and other crime.
