Police in central Gothenburg have fired shots at a car after the driver fled from a control and hit a police officer, reports Göteborgs-Posten.
Two men aged 25 have been arrested.
– We have two arrested and they are suspected of attempted murder, drug offenses and gross negligence in traffic and more, says police officer on duty Fredrik Flyberg to the newspaper.
The sequence of events began in the Vasastan district. When a car did not stop for inspection, the police took up the chase, and it was during the car chase that a police officer was hit, but without injury. At the Hisingsbron, shots were fired at the car, which then stopped.
– It has been a shorter pursuit and we have shot at this vehicle, says Fredrik Flyberg.
According to the newspaper, the two arrested men escaped unharmed.
