Several police patrols were called to Lottefors in Bollnäs on Sunday after they behaved threateningly in the vicinity of passers-by and children.
The man allegedly refused to drop the weapon-like object despite the police’s call – before one of the officers fired a warning shot. The man, who is in his 60s, is overpowered and arrested on suspicion of unlawful threats.
The weapon has been seized for further investigation. No people were injured in connection with the incident.
