A police officer fired a warning shot in connection with the arrest of two 15-year-old boys in Vällingby in western Stockholm, which Aftonbladet was the first to report on.

The arrest was prompted by an attempted robbery in a parking lot at 8 p.m. in nearby Råcksta, where a man in his 30s was stabbed and taken to hospital by ambulance.

– We receive a description of a suspected perpetrator, and when we work in the area the patrol sees a person who matches the description, says police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl to TT.

The boy was in the company of another boy, and when the patrol wanted to check them, they started running from the scene, according to the police.

– Then a situation arises where the police fire a warning shot, and then the people can be arrested. There are two 15-year-old boys, they are not injured, says Wikdahl.

The boys are suspected of attempted robbery and serious assault.
