A police employee in Växjö made a number of illegal data searches in the police system. He is now being charged with, among other things, data breaches, local media reports.
The man was a civilian employee of the police at the same time that he attended the Police High School in Växjö. In 2022, he made no less than 122 illegal searches during his working hours, according to the prosecutor.
He is no longer employed by the police and is no longer studying at the police training course.
The man is also charged with two counts of sexual harassment since he is suspected of having sent offensive messages via Snapchat to two people.
