A policeman drove into the car in front of him – with a concussion in one of the passengers in that car as a result. Now the Court of Appeal toughens his sentence, reports P4 Dalarna.

It was in March 2021 that the policeman in Malung-Sälen municipality drove a civilian police car in such a way that several fellow road users in both lanes were forced to brake heavily. He then ran into a car from behind, which led to the concussion.

In the district court, the police were sentenced to 50 daily fines for violating traffic regulations. But the Court of Appeal reclassifies the crime as negligence in traffic and raises the penalty to 70 daily fines.
