A police officer from Gothenburg is charged with misconduct, suspected of having urged his partner to escape in connection with a suspected drunk driver last spring, writes Göteborgs-Posten.
The police believe that he could not intervene due to a knee injury, which the prosecutor does not believe.
Witnesses from the incident believe that the police asked the woman to leave the scene, despite the fact that he knew that a patrol was on the way to the scene and that she was considered to be drunk. The man denies any wrongdoing.

The Israeli military (IDF) has launched a major attack on what it describes as Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.
The IDF urges all residents in the vicinity of the targets to leave.
“The IDF discovered that the terrorist organization Hezbollah was preparing to fire rockets and missiles against Israel and in response to those threats, the IDF is striking against terror in Lebanon,” writes the IDF on Telegram.
Israeli aircraft are now in the process of striking those targets.
The founder and CEO of messaging app Telegram, Franco-Russian billionaire Pavel Durov has been arrested at Le Bourget airport outside Paris.
According to sources in the French police, Durov has been arrested as part of an investigation that his encrypted messaging app is suspected of being a tool for criminals and that Telegram does not want to cooperate with French authorities.
Durov has previously stayed away from France, knowing the risk of arrest.
The explosion outside a synagogue in southern France on Saturday morning is being investigated as a terrorist attack.
A suspect has been arrested, says French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin.
The explosion, in the town of La Motte near Montpellier, occurred when two cars were set on fire. The emergency services discovered several fires at two entrances to the synagogue.
A police officer who arrived was injured when a gas tank in one of the vehicles exploded, the anti-terrorism prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
Five people, including the rabbi, were in the synagogue but escaped unharmed.

SMHI has issued a yellow warning for torrential rain in parts of Bohuslän and Dalsland.

Another person has been arrested after the stabbing in Solingen where three people were killed, German police say.
The person was arrested during a police operation at an asylum, according to the German news agency Dpa.

A ten-month-old baby has been paralyzed after contracting polio type 2 in Gaza, Reuters reports. It is the first case in the area in 25 years, according to the WHO.
