A police officer in Skåne is charged with a number of illegal data breaches, writes Helsingborgs Dagblad.

The policeman is said to have both checked on relatives and made searches when he was off. He himself says that all searches were work-related. He also believes that as a police officer he is on duty around the clock, every day of the week.

The indictment covers data searches on 49 occasions from January 2019 to April 2020.

– We have only included those who targeted relatives or when he was off work, says chief prosecutor Joakim Zander at the Special Prosecutor’s Chamber, to the newspaper.
