At around 19:30 on Thursday, August 24, a 23-year-old man was shot with several shots outside Vida arena in Växjö. Witnesses saw two perpetrators waiting for the man, and after they fired several shots, they allegedly fled from there on an electric scooter.
After the shooting, the police were able to secure traces from a security door at the old ice rink where a bullet passed through, without getting stuck.
– It was not comprehensive, says Robert Loeffel, the police’s press officer.
The shot 23-year-old has undergone surgery for his injuries, and his condition has gone from being classified as life-threatening to seriously injured.
Police would not comment on how many bullet holes or bullets they found at the crime scene. No one had been arrested as of Tuesday afternoon.
