Three arrested in Woodstock drug bust

A Woodstock man faces a long list of charges after being accused of robbery.

Woodstock police officers responded Thursday morning to reports of a robbery in progress in the area of ​​Kipling Crescent and Springbank Avenue.

Police allege a “physical alteration” took place between the accused and the complainant that involved the threat of an edged weapon. After the accused was arrested, police alleged he was found in possession of property that had been reported stolen from a vehicle.

The 20-year-old complainant was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The 18-year-old accused was charged with robbery with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats, two counts of possession of stolen property and mischief.

The suspect remains in custody, pending a bail hearing.

London men face drugs, weapons charges

Two London men were arrested on serious weapons charges after Woodstock police responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle early Friday morning.

Officers responded to the area of ​​Blossom Park Road after receiving reports of two men, including one who had reportedly been walking around with a bat, in a minivan.

The vehicle, a 2016 silver Dodge Caravan, had reportedly been stolen from Middlesex County. While at the scene, officers allegedly found drugs, including fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and LSD, and a number of weapons, including a loaded sawed-off automatic rifle, a replica handgun, a cattle prod, knives, an ax and a baseball bat .

A 27-year-old London man and a 32-year-old London man were charged with two counts of careless storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, occupant of a vehicle knowing there was a firearm, occupant of a vehicle knowing there was a prohibited weapon, possession of stolen property, drug possession, two counts of drug possession with the purpose of trafficking and possession of a firearm with a tampered serial number.

The 32-year-old London man was additionally charged with one count of possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, two counts of failure to comply with a release order and two counts of assaulting a police officer.

Both suspects remain in custody.
