Provincial police are investigating after a $5,000 swing set was reported stolen from the playground at North Perth Westfield elementary school in Listowel.
The alleged theft was reported to Perth County OPP Thursday after the unique rope swing was cut down around 6:30 am, police said.
Two people of interest – a female in dark clothing and a tall male wearing a construction-type vest or coat – were seen dragging the swing on Campbell Street West, police said.
Investigators said Monday they are interested in speaking with anyone who can identify the pair or provide surveillance footage from the area.

Man charged after allegedly shoplifting from the same business three times, police say
A shoplifting investigation that began in Listowel this month has resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old North Perth man accused of stealing from the same business on three separate occasions, police say.
The most recent alleged theft from the business on Mitchell Road South was reported by a witness Feb. 6 just after 3 p.m., Perth County OPP said.
After investigating, police charged the accused man with three counts of theft with a value less than $5,000.
The man was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario court of justice in Stratford at a later date to answer the charges, police said.
Two separate 17-year-old drivers charged with street racing on the same day
Two 17-year-old drivers – one from Stratford and one from Egmondville – are facing street racing charges in Perth County after being arrested by police during separate incidents on the same day.
Perth County OPP said the teenaged driver from Stratford was traveling more than 60 kilometers per hour over the posted limit on Perth Line 34 when their vehicle was stopped by police in Perth East just after 9 am on Feb. 5.
A few hours later, the teenager from Egmondville was pulled over in West Perth after they were caught traveling more than 50 km/h over the limit on on Perth Road 135.
Both drivers were handed 30-day driving suspensions and 14-day vehicle impoundments, police said.
They are scheduled to appear at the Ontario court of justice in Stratford at a later date to answer the charges.
