A green at the Norfolk Golf and County Club was damaged after an unknown substance was poured on it, Norfolk OPP say.
Police were sent to the Argyle Street golf course at about 9:30 am May 3. It was determined that sometime between May 1 and May 3. The incident resulted in about $1,000 damage.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Norfolk OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Those who wish to remain anonymous are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or leave an anonymous online message at www.helpsolvecrime.com to become eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
Driver faces impaired charge
A 41-year-old Norfolk County man faces charges following a May 2 collision at a Grigg Street, Simcoe address.
Norfolk OPP were dispatched to the scene at about 3:38 am after receiving a 911 emergency call.
The driver was subsequently charged with dangerous driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level over the legal limit.
The legal limit for drivers in Ontario is 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood.
