Norfolk OPP are publicly thanking a citizen who called in a single-vehicle collision on Nov. 25.

Officers were sent to a Highway 24, Townsend address at 6:25 to investigate a report of a vehicle that had gone off the road. Upon arrival, police found a pickup truck in a ditch.

The driver, a 54-year-old Norfolk County man, was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his blood. The legal limit for drivers in Ontario is 80 milligrams of alcohol for every 100 milliliters of blood.
