Police briefs Crash knocks down hydro wires on Blackwell Road

A road in a north Sarnia neighborhood was expected to be closed most of Monday night due to a two-car crash that knocked down hydro wires, Sarnia police say.

Motorists were asked to avoid Blackwell Road between Modeland Road and Metcalfe Drive while Bluewater Power replaced the downed wires.

“There are no injuries, but significant property damage. It’s too early to comment on the cause of the collision or if any charges will be laid,” Sarnia police said in a statement.
