Police briefs Cocaine seized during search of Sarnia house

Cocaine with a street value estimated at more than $6,700 was allegedly seized by Sarnia police officers Wednesday while searching a home on Forsyth Street North.

City police said officers with the Sarnia police vice unit were granted a search warrant for the home in the 200 block of Forsyth St. N. following an investigation into the alleged possession of a firearm.

Officers with the vice unit and city police emergency response team carried out the search shortly after 2 pm and made two arrests.

Along with approximately 56 grams of cocaine, it’s alleged an air pistol replica handgun was found.

A 34-year-old Kettle and Stony Point man and a 64-year-old Sarnia man are facing charges.

Gas bar robbed

Sarnia police are searching for a suspect after a gas bar on London line was held up Tuesday morning.

Police said it’s alleged a woman came into the gas bar in the 1600 block of London Line with a firearm and left on foot with cash and other items.

No one was injured, police said.

The suspect is described as a white female, with a thin build, approximately five-foot four-inches tall and believed to be in her 30s.

She was wearing black sunglasses, a gray or black hoodie or jacket, gray pants and two-tone black and white running shoes with pink or red accents at the back.

Police said the suspect was also wearing a black backpack with pink piping on the shoulder straps.

Police released surveillance photos of the suspect.
