Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect who damaged a vehicle following a dispute in Waterford.

Norfolk OPP were called to an Old Highway 24 address in Waterford just before 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Police say two people were engaged in an argument that resulted in one person damaging the other person’s vehicle before leaving the scene in a blue Ford Crown Victoria sedan with a light-colored hood.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male about six feet tall, of medium build, and wearing a blue jacket, gray pants, and a brown baseball cap.

Man faces firearms charges

A 65-year-old Norfolk County man is facing several firearm-related charges.

Norfolk OPP received a report of gunshots just after 9 pm on Friday at a Norfolk County Road 57 address near Simcoe.

Police say the resident had discharged a firearm without a required license. No injuries were reported.

The accused was arrested and charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, careless use of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, and careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition.

Pride flag damaged in Norwich

Oxford OPP are seeking the public’s help to identify the person responsible for a mischief incident in Norwich.

Police say a suspect partially ripped down a Pride flag at a Stover Street address in Norwich Township at about 1:15 am on Saturday.

The suspect was wearing a light-colored shirt, dark-colored pants, and was last seen traveling northeast across Stover Street North.
