Three people have been charged after police interrupted a break-in at a Simcoe greenhouse on Wednesday.

Norfolk OPP say they found the suspects at the Highway 24 property at about 5:50 pm where they were attempting to take metal and wire.

Charged with possession of break-in instruments and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 are two women from Norfolk County, ages 65 and 32, and a 36-year-old Brantford man.

Police looking for stolen pickup truck

Norfolk OPP are asking for the public’s help to locate a pickup truck stolen from a Simcoe property.

Police say the vehicle was taken from a Norfolk Street North home sometime between 11 pm on Wednesday and 12:30 am on Thursday.

The vehicle is a gray 2006 Chevrolet Silverado.

Norfolk County resident charged with spousal assault

A 30-year-old Norfolk County resident has been charged following an intimate partner violence incident.

Norfolk OPP say they were called to a Norfolk County home on the evening of Feb. 6 where there was a confrontation between two people. One of them sustained minor injuries.

The accused is charged with assault – spousal; uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm – spousal; and disobeying order of court.
