An 18-year-old Norfolk resident is facing weapons and assault charges following an altercation in the Teeterville area on Saturday.
Police responded to Teeterville Road at about 7:07 am to investigate a reported assault.
Norfolk OPP say a verbal disagreement between two people escalated to a physical confrontation.
One of the people involved was charged with assault with a weapon and possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The accused is scheduled to appear court at a later date to answer the charges.
Urine thrown at house
A bag of liquid, suspected to be urine, was thrown on to the front porch of a home in the Courtland area last week, say police.
Norfolk OPP responded to Jackson Side Road at just before 1 am on Thursday, July 7.
The investigation is continuing.

Driver faces multiple charges
An Oxford County man is facing several charges after a single-vehicle crash in Norfolk on Saturday night.
Norfolk OPP say a vehicle was traveling along 1st Concession Road when the driver lost control and ended up in the ditch at about 9:30 pm
A Good Samaritan reported the crash to police
A 25-year-old man has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs; obstruct peace officer; failure or refusal to comply with request; drive motor vehicle in contravention of conditions; while under suspension, and being intoxicated in a public place.
Thieves steal rugs, cash
Norfolk OPP are investigating a break and enter at a business on Norfolk Street North in Simcoe.
Police say the break in occurred in the early morning hours on Friday, July 8. The culprits stole rugs and cash from the business.
The investigation is ongoing.

ATV tires slashed
Damage is estimated at $500 after someone slashed the tires on an all-terrain vehicle parked on a property on Gibraltar Avenue in Delhi.
The incident occurred in the early morning hours on Thursday, July 7.
“The OPP want to remind all residents that if they see anything suspicious to please contact the police immediately. If anyone is found committing acts of mischief, appropriate charges will be laid,” Norfolk OPP said in a media release.
