POLICE BLOTTER: Simcoe fight leads to arrest of Brantford man

A Brantford man was arrested after Norfolk OPP responded to a fight on Queen Street North in Simcoe Tuesday morning.

Police said an argument that led to an assault was reported at about 8:30 am on May 28 and, although no injuries were reported, they arrested a 48-year-old man, charging him with assault and causing a disturbance.

The man will appear in Simcoe court on June 25.

Phone argument ends with threats

Norfolk OPP arrested a 33-year-old man after investigating “an electronic dispute” between two people in Delhi.

Police said they went to a King Street address in the town on May 28 at about 5:30 pm and found two people had been communicating digitally when one made threats against the other.

The man arrested was charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

He’ll appear in Simcoe court in July.
