A 73-year-old Norfolk County man has been charged following an impaired driving investigation.

Norfolk OPP began investigating after receiving a 911 call from a concerned citizen about a possible impaired driver on Windham Road 13 in Windham at about 4:38 pm on April 9. Officers subsequently found the vehicle at a Windham Road 13 location.

After assessing the driver’s sobriety, police took him into custody without incident.
Police have charged the driver with refusing to provide a breath sample.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on April 23.
Anyone spotting a possible impaired driver is encouraged to contact the OPP or nearest police authority by dialing 911.
Intimate partner violence
Norfolk OPP have charged a 31-year-old Six Nations woman following an April 11 intimate partner violence investigation.

Police were sent to a Norfolk County address at about 11:58 am to investigate a disturbance. Upon arrival, officer determined that two individuals had become embroiled in a dispute.
One person was physically assaulted however no injuries were reported, police said.
Police arrested one individual, who has been charged with spousal assault.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on a future date.

Mischief charges
A 30-year-old Norfolk County man has been charged with mischief under $5,000 following an April 10 investigation at a Croton Avenue address in Delhi.
Norfolk OPP was sent to the address at about 7:49 am April 10 to investigate a dispute. Officers determined that two individuals had become involved in a dispute inside a residence resulting in damage to one person’s property.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Simcoe on Tuesday, May 7.
