OPP are investigating two separate vehicle thefts from private property in Brant County.

Sometime overnight on July 26, a silver 4-door 2011 Volkswagen GTD was stolen from Grand River Street South in Paris.

On July 28 at about 7:20 pm, police were called about the theft of a vehicle off of Thompson Road. Police say the owner was working in a field when the gray 2001 Nissan Frontier extend cab pickup truck was taken.

Man faces impaired, stunt driving charges

A 46-year-old Ohsweken man faces charges after failing to stop at an intersection.

A Six Nations Police officer on patrol saw a vehicle go through an intersection without stopping. As police followed, the vehicle was seen to be driven erratically.

The vehicle pulled into a private residence where the officer determined there to be signs of impairment.

The accused is charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and dangerous driving.

The driver’s license was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle impounded for seven days.
