A man armed with a golf club is accused of damaging a drone before swinging the club at another man, say Brantford police.
A 57-year-old Brantford man faces charges after a disturbance at about 9:45 pm on Tuesday, April 11.
Police say the accused allegedly damaged another man’s drone and a cell phone with a golf club, then swung it at the man in a threatening way.
The two men were known to each other.
The accused is charged with assault with a weapon, and mischief under $5,000.
Man accused of making threats
A 40-year-old Brantford man has been charged with uttering threats to cause death, and breaching a probation order.
Police say the accused made gestures and threatened to stab another person on Market Street at about 6:45 pm on Tuesday, April 11.
The actions of the accused are allegedly unprovoked, and the parties did not know each other.
No injuries were sustained, and when taken into custody no weapon was found on the accused, said police.
Orders not followed: Police
Brantford Police responded to a threatening incident at about 8:45 am on Wednesday, April 12.
Officers arrived at a Gray Street location and located the accused, who was allegedly found to be in violation of valid release orders.
A 30-year-old Brantford man is charged with failure to comply with judicial release and was held for bail.
Break and enter on Grand Street
A 26-year-old Brantford man has been charged following a break and enter at a Grand Street residence.
Police received a call at about 1:20 am Wednesday, April 12 reporting that someone had gained entry to a backyard shed and was still on scene.
Officers arrived and took the accused into custody.
Police say the shed’s roof was damaged during the break in.
The accused was also wanted by Brantford Police on an outstanding arrest warrant for an unrelated occurrence.
The man was charged with trespass/prowl near dwelling house, and mischief under $5,000, and was held for bail.
Driver charged following collision
A 48-year-old Brantford man faces charges following a collision with a parked vehicle.
Officers were dispatched to Herbert Street at about 9 p.m. Friday, April 7, after receiving a call about a possible impaired driver who was trying to leave the scene on foot.
The suspected impaired driver was located and arrested after displaying signs of impairment.
A passenger in the accused’s vehicle was treated at hospital for minor injuries, while the driver was given a medical assessment.
Breath samples obtained yielded a blood alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit, said police.
The accused is charged with impaired driving, careless driving, failure to stop after accident, and failing to report an accident.
woman faces impaired load
A 37-year-old Brantford woman has been charged with impaired driving following a hit and run collision.
Police say a driver struck a parked vehicle on Rawdon Street at about 11 pm on Thursday, April 6.
The suspect vehicle was located parked at a Rawdon Street home, with the accused in the driver’s seat.
The woman was taken into custody after displaying signs of intoxication, and breath samples obtained were more than three times the legal limit.
