Stolen skid steer located in Jarvis

A Haldimand man is facing charges after a stolen skid steer valued $60,000 was located in Jarvis.

Haldimand OPP community street crimes unit began an investigation Dec. 5 in response to information from Halton Regional Police Service.

A 2012 Caterpillar 242B3 skid steer that had been reported stolen was located at a Talbot Street West property in Jarvis.

A 43-year-old Haldimand man has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Snow blower stolen

Police are investigating the theft of a snowblower from a Port Dover property.

The theft from an unlocked garage on St. George Street occurred sometime between 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm on Nov. 6, police said in a release. Norfolk OPP were notified on Dec. 7.

The snow blower is described as a yellow, Cub Cadet model.
