Norfolk OPP have charged three people following separate intimate partner violence investigations.

Officers were sent to a Norfolk County address at 7:27 am Nov. 6 to investigate a disturbance. Upon arrival, one person was taken into custody.

No injuries were reported.

A 27-year-old Norfolk County man has been charged with spousal assault, failure to comply with an undertaking, obstruct police, resist police, mischief over $5,000 and mischief under $5,000.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Less than an hour later, officers were sent to another Norfolk County address to investigate another incident. Upon arrival, police took two people into custody without further incident.

A 66-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman, both from Norfolk County, have been charged with failure to comply with a release order.

They were held in custody pending bail hearings.

Brick thrown at home

Norfolk OPP are investigating after a brick was thrown at a home on Big Creek Drive in Delhi.

Police officers were dispatched to the home at about 9:41 am Tuesday (Nov. 7) to investigate a report of property damage to the home. It was determined that sometime overnight or earlier that morning, a brick had been thrown at the home.

Generator stolen

A generator was recently stolen from a Willowdale Crescent home in Port Dover, Norfolk OPP say.

The generator was stolen from a shed on the property sometime overnight Nov. 6 to Nov. 7 and discovered on the morning of Nov. 7. The generator is a Wallenstein EU7200E model.

Impaired driving charges

A 27-year-old Norfolk County man has been charged with impaired driving after police stopped a vehicle on Highway 24 in Windham.

Norfolk OPP officers stopped the vehicle at about 9:30 pm on Nov. 6.

The driver was taken into custody without incident. He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Nov. 21, 2023.
