A 68-year-old Norfolk County resident has been charged as the result of an intimate partner violence investigation.

Police were called to the residence at about 6:36 pm on Sunday, April 21 where they determined one of two individuals involved in a dispute had been physically assaulted.
No injuries were reported.
The accused has been charged with spousal assault.
Harassment charge
Norfolk OPP charged an 18-year-old Elgin County resident following an investigation into a reported intimate partner violence incident on Monday.
Police were called to investigate an unoccupied vehicle at a Norfolk County address at about 12:41 am on April 22.
Officers located the driver near a residential property that neither the homeowner nor any other occupant had given permission to be on the premises.

The accused was taken into custody and charged with criminal harassment.

Trailers targeted
Police are asking for the public’s help to identify those responsible for several break-ins at a seasonal trailer park.
Officers began an investigation at 12:33 pm on Saturday, April 20 at a Radical Road address in Port Dover where thieves forcibly gained entry to 13 camping trailers and removed various items.

Theft from vehicle
Police are encouraging Norfolk County residents to remove valuables from their vehicles and lock the doors.
A wallet was stolen after someone entered a vehicle at a Chapel Street address in Simcoe.
Police say thieves continue to target both locked and unlocked vehicles and encourage residents who see suspicious activity to call police immediately.
