A 30-year-old Norfolk County driver faces charges after police received a call from a concerned citizen.

Norfolk OPP responded just before 6 am on Thursday, April 25 after a caller reported a possible impaired driver on Imperial Street in Delhi.

Officers on patrol located the vehicle a short time later on McDowell Road East in Charlotteville and arrested the driver after assessing their sobriety.

The accused is charged with operation while impaired – alcohol; failure or refusal to comply with demand; dangerous operation; driving while under suspension; and fail to comply with probation order.

Utility trailer stolen

Police are asking for the public’s help to identify those responsible for the theft of a utility trailer.

Norfolk OPP were called at 8:42 am Thursday, April 25 to investigate the theft from a Windam Road 2 address in Norfolk County.

During the late evening or early morning hours, one or more persons stole a silver 2010 Dura-Haul DHL utility trailer that was later recovered by Brant OPP on Newport Road in the County of Brant.
