A group of boys aged 13 to 16 were charged in connection with an assault with a weapon on Wednesday.

Police were called to the area of Memorial Drive and North Park Street at about 5 pm after witnesses saw several youths fighting outside.
No physical injuries were reported to police.

A 31-year-old Brantford man was arrested after allegedly creating a dangerous disruption of traffic on Thursday.

Police say the incident happened at Cayuga and Mohawk streets. They say the accused initially resisted arrest and allegedly assaulted officers.
The accused is charged with three counts of assault a peace officer; resist arrest; obstruct peace officer; probation order non-compliance.

A 17-year-old girl was charged after another girl was assaulted with a knife on Tuesday.
Police were called to the area of Shellard Lane and Conklin Road at about 11 am Witnesses say the girls were arguing before the assault.
Police found the accused who allegedly resisted arrest and assaulted officers.
The Brantford resident is charged with possession of weapon for dangerous purpose; assault with weapon; and assault with intent to resist arrest.

Road rage leads to assault charge
Police say road rage led to a 45-year-old Brantford woman being charged with assault.
Police say an argument between two women who didn’t know each other in a King George Road parking lot near Powerline Road turned violent on Monday when one of them was assaulted. Minor physical injuries were reported.
Driver traveling wrong way
A Brantford man has been charged after witnesses spotted a driver traveling in the wrong direction on a one-way street.
Police were called to Dalhousie and Murray streets on Tuesday at about 12 p.m.
Police say the accused showed signs of impairment but refused to cooperate with an evaluation by a drug recognition expert.
A 30-year-old is charged with operation while impaired — alcohol and drugs; failure or refusal to comply with demand.
