A 21-year-old Brantford driver faces numerous charges including stunt driving.
A Brant OPP officer conducting speed enforcement on Cockshutt Road near Oxbow Road stopped a vehicle at about 1:04 am on Tuesday.
The vehicle was clocked traveling more than 130 km-h in a posted 50 km-h zone, police said.
The accused has been charged with stunt driving and speeding in excess of 50 km-h over the speed limit. He is also charged with driving without a license and with liquor readily available.
The driver’s license was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle impounded for 14 days.
Impaired driving charges
A 64-year-old Brant County man has been charged with impaired driving.
Brant OPP say a citizen contacted them on Monday just after 6 pm after seeing a vehicle being driven in a concerning manner on Maple Grove Road.
Police located the vehicle, took the driver into custody, and transported him to the Norfolk County detachment for testing.
On the weekend, police charged a 27-year-old driver from Ohsweken with impaired driving and speeding.
Brant OPP say an officer was conducting speed enforcement on Cockshutt Road at about 2:23 am Saturday.
A vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed was located and stopped.
The driver was arrested and taken to the Norfolk County detachment for testing.
Drug charges
A 46-year-old Ohsweken man has been charged with possession of an opioid (other than heroine) and entering premises when prohibited.
Brant OPP responded to a call from a homeowner on Highway 54 just after 11 am Saturday about an unknown person walking on their property.
After initially being unable to locate the accused, a subsequent call to police with updated information led to his arrest.
