A driver who police say crashed his car and then left the scene has been charged with a list of offenses, including being impaired.

Norfolk County OPP investigated a single-vehicle accident on Friday at about 7:40 pm on Highway 3 in Delhi.

Police say the driver, who was found nearby, is also accused of assaulting two officers. No injuries were reported.

A 25-year-old Haldimand man is charged with operation while impaired — alcohol and drugs; failure or refusal to comply with demand; dangerous operation; fail to remain; take motor vehicle without consent; having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available; two counts of assault peace officer; uttering threats — cause death or bodily harm; and mischief under $5,000.

Tip jar stolen

A 22-year-old Tillsonburg man is facing charges after a tip jar was stolen from a business.

Police responded after receiving a call about the theft at a Broadway business in Tillsonburg on Sunday.

A suspect was located and charged with theft under $5,000.
