Norfolk OPP have charged three people following a Nov. 22 break and enter at the LCBO store in Waterford.

Officers were dispatched to the store on St. James Street South after receiving a report of a break and enter in progress at about 10:55 pm Upon arrival, officers discovered that three individuals had entered a business and took a quantity of alcohol before fleeing the area in a white sedan.

Police subsequently identified and intercepted the suspect vehicle on Highway 24 Townsend.. The driver and two passengers were taken into custody without incident.
A 20-year-old Haldimand County man has been charged with impaired driving, driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his blood, having a blood-alcohol content above 0 while a novice driver, driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available, driving a vehicle with cannabis in an open bag, having care and control of a vehicle with liquor readily available, having care and control of a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor, break and enter, possession of break-in instruments, possession of stolen property under $5,000 and theft under $5,000.

Police have also charged at 23-year-old Haldimand man with having liquor in open container in unauthorized place, break, enter a place to commit an unspeakable offense, possession of break-in instruments, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and theft under $5,000.
A 25-year-old Six Nations man has been charged with having open container of liquor in unauthorized place, break, enter a place to commit an unspeakable offense, possession of break-in instruments, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, failure to comply with release order and theft under $5,000.
All three accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Simcoe on December 19, 2023.

Norfolk OPP is searching for three suspects following a break and enter at the Boston General Store on Cockshutt Road.
The break-in took place just before 12:30 am Monday, when three people forcefully entered the business and stole a quantity of alcohol. They left the area in a Dodge Ram pick-up truck, which was last seen heading east bound on Norfolk County Road 19 East.
Police say the suspects unsuccessfully tried to remove an ATM machine from the business.
The first suspect is a male, with a heavy build wearing a grey. hooded sweatshirt, black pants and gray shoes. Suspect Number 2 is male with an average build wearing a maroon, hooded sweatshirt, beige pants, gray camouflage baseball bat and gray shoes.
Police said no description of the third suspect, who was the driver, is available.
