A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of having participated in an assault by a policeman during an after-work party at a pub in Malmö on Friday. After a few days at large, the man was arrested on Tuesday.
The police officer is said to have been injured and taken to hospital in connection with the severe assault. According to TV4 Nyhetern’s information, he should have sustained head injuries.
Two men have already been arrested on suspicion of serious violence against an official, but the man who was arrested today is considered to have been the driving force behind the assault, according to TV4 Nyhetern’s information.
Several resources participated in the operation and after the man was arrested, several investigative measures were carried out, including a search of the suspect’s home. The police’s regional task force also participated there.
